Booking updates:
* Appointments on November Jan 20, 21 will be covered by Dr. Erin Coates (locum pediatrician)
Dr. Erin Coates works at Lions Gate Hospital & provides rural and remote outreach support for Prince Rupert, White Horse. She provides locum coverage to several pediatrics practices - we are excited to have her work with us again! She lives in Squamish so is familiar with the Sea to Sky community.
* Appointments from February 9th until April 6th we have two Sr. pediatric resident joining us in the clinic. Dr. Emma McCrady & Dr. Jacqueline Van Warmerdam. They may see you before Dr. Carlisle. They have both almost completed their pediatric training and are gaining community experience in Squamish before they graduate in June.
*Online booking is ONLY for follow up appointments based on the time frame you agreed upon with the pediatrician to follow up on issues already discussed.
If you have been seen by the pediatrician for a developmental consult and your care has been discharged back to the family doctor, please see your family doctor first if you require follow up. Once we receive an update from your family doctor we will book you for a follow. Don't use the online booking system as we will usually be booking a longer appointment and need updates prior to booking.
*For NEW concerns the first step is to contact your primary care provider - your family doctor or nurse practitioner.
*For more urgent concerns (i.e you need an appointment sooner than the preplanned appointment) then contact our office directly to discuss. You may be directed to book an appointment with the pediatrician online or to follow up with your primary care provider depending on the type of concern. Office phone / text number 778-733-0150.
*Save your confirmation email - it will allow you to cancel and reschedule your appointment if needed. If cancellation is needed then please cancel and rebook more than 24 hours in advance so we have time to offer your spot to another patient. No show fee $150 if you do not show to your appointment that you have booked.
If appointments are being inappropriately booked online i.e booking to see the pediatrician for new concerns or not checking in with your primary care team first, then patients will lose access to online booking.
