Child Youth Mental Health Teams - at intake can offer advice for supports, and if eligible will waitlist your child/youth for counselling
Squamish Child youth mental health intake happens by phone, 604-892-1400, then they will have you complete some intake paper work. Foundry Sea to Sky - counselling for youth in person
Foundry drop in counselling & peer support for all children/youth 12+. https://www.foundryseatosky.com/
Ongoing counselling available through the foundry for youth 12+ with substance use.
Foundry Virtual - Youth aged 12-24 and their caregivers can access same day virtual services or schedule a virtual counselling appointment, peer support, access primary care, get support with employment, access groups & workshops https://foundrybc.ca/virtual/

SAIP program - The Sexual Abuse Intervention Program (SAIP) provides therapeutic individual counselling and/or group therapy to children under 19 years of age who have experienced sexual abuse, and/or are suspected to have been sexually abused, exploited, or assaulted.
Private counselling – many extended health benefits cover private counselling.

If unable to afford private counselling and income < $85,000 you can apply to variety with a letter of support from your primary care provider. https://www.variety.bc.ca/support/mental-wellness/
Tantalus Wellspring provides counselling subsidy for those that cannot afford counselling for 5 sessions, a consider if needing short term support or if awaiting child youth mental health team support. https://tantaluswellspring.ca/empowerment-and-choice/
Note: cannot receive public and private counselling simultaneously.
